Second Chance Rescue Kennels in Chellaston, Derby, have many lovely dogs that are looking for loving new homes.

The kennel is run by volunteers, and vows never to put a dog down - they often rescue dogs who were due to be put down by other pet charities.

Feel free to drop by the rescue centre on the opening times and take a look at the dogs, even take them for a walk.

If you are interested in having a dog, there will be a home visit to make sure your home is suitable. The dog will also be provided with the following treatment before it leaves the kennels:-

worm treatment

flea treatment

vaccinations (including the vaccination for kennel cough)

microchip

4 weeks pet insurance

the dog will be neutered or spayed

food plan

Understandably, a donation is required whenever a dog is adopted, which will go into the running of the centre an help with the costs of veterinary bills.

If you have been considering getting a dog, then consider going to Second Chance Rescue Kennels. They believe that every dog deserves a loving new home, and you could be the person to give it to them.
